Hello. I'm Paige Lea Curtis, designer and co owner of Alibi Interiors, which I run with my husband Chris Curtis. After seven years of growing our first business together, I'd like to incorporate more of what I personally enjoy, into a new kind of work.
I love when my eyes see something new; a neighborhood in San Francisco I've never visited, a stretch of coastline along the Yucatán peninsula, a local historic mission or church. This is when I feel most inspired and awake. I intend to travel the world, but in the meantime, I continue to fulfill my 'see-new-things' obsession by taking small journeys, often. During these trips I allow myself to be guided by landscape, architecture, or whatever road seems most intriguing, bringing home the objects I can't live without. I hunt for new pieces weekly, all of which I have fallen in love with. Anything I purchase I do so with the intent of placing in my own home.
My background is in art and design. I received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Interior Architecture from San Jose State University and have had passion for design even before I understood it. As a designer, I'm constantly seeking new aesthetics and styles, hunting for unique objects to adorn my home or work space. It is an important avocation for me to be able to source these items in a way that does not further impact our planet. The world is already full of everything we need, from egg beaters and rattan sofas to linen dresses, even the more specific items one might be looking for. Of course not all of us have the time or interest in shopping flea markets and estate sales, but if Hunter encourages you to make the conscious decision to spend your money on even just a few second-hand or sustainably sourced items, my heart is happy and my business endeavor fulfills its mission.
